Banknote Sheet Inspection Systems for Sampling Quality Control of Semi-finished Products

Reliable and fast automated control of printing quality through multilevel analysis of printed sheets, prevention of faults as the printing machine operator is warned even on minimum deviations of printed impression from specified parameters.
An eventual reduction in banknote production cost in spite of the highest possible printing quality.
Key functions:
- high-resolution viewing of any sheet area selected by operator;
- identification of defects and their presentation to print worker (highlighting of faults in the WKS screen);
- collection of statistics for defects.
Inspection is performed as a sheet is scanned and its image is processed in the visible, IR and UV spectrum.

| In the visible spectrum the system checks intaglio and offset print elements for registration quality and monitors foreign print elements (spots, ink droplets, etc.) and poor inking. | In the UV spectrum the system monitors security fibers and printed areas fluorescing under the UV light. | In the IR spectrum the system checks metameric inks for application quality and contrast. |
QIS 300 is used at printing factories of JSC Goznak to prevent production of rejects.
